An Overture

Seville Cathedral & Giralda

Getting There & Around
- Getting there without a car: Santa Justa station (north of centre) handles AVE high-speed trains — Madrid ~2.5 hrs, Córdoba ~40–45 min, Barcelona ~5h40. Airport to centre: EA Airport Bus every 15–30 min, or taxi ~€25.
- Getting around: The centre is highly walkable — most blogs say no public transport is needed within it. There's a tram and buses for longer hops.
- With a car: Don't drive in the old town (narrow, restricted). If road-tripping, drop the car and rely on walking; if you must keep it, choose a hotel with parking (e.g., Hotel Las Casas de la Judería, ~€24 off-site; Melia Sevilla). Seville and Málaga are the two practical car-rental pickup/drop points for the white-villages loop.

- Best time: April–early June and late September–October. Spring brings Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril (spectacular but very crowded and pricey). Avoid July–August — Seville is one of Europe's hottest cities (high 30s–40°C).
